Eligibility Requirement:
high-achieving students must have completed at least 7 recognized advanced-level courses or any high-stakes standardized exam such as:
Advanced Placement (AP)
Dual Credits, and Early College Enrollments
International Baccalaureate (IB, HL courses)
A-Level (UK)
JEE Advanced (India)
Gaokao (China)
This minimum ensures a strong foundation in both content mastery and academic discipline, essential for surviving Irenaeus's Crush Load. An average of 94% or above is required.
Consult Nicaea directly if you wish to petition for a waver. Our motives are not in gatekeeping but more so filtration and ensuring that admitees are able to keep up with the demands of the program.

Knowledge Inventory
List your completed AP / IB / A-Level courses or other certifications.
Upload transcript or equivalent documentation.
Foundational Literacy (Written Section)
Write a 500–800 word response to a chosen prompt of the following:
(1) “In an age of information overload, how can true intellectual synthesis be achieved?”
(2) "How can one retain coherence when the enemy of focus is fragmentation?"
(3) "You have often heard, 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'. Who do you think that enemy is for you?"
(4) "The saying 'I think, therefore I am' does not resonate with you, what do you make of 'I think, so too do I feel, therefore I become.'"
What's Considered: Depth of thought, writing clarity, expressiveness of articulation, interdisciplinary awareness.
Creative Writing
Creative work on a literary topic of your choosing. Your work can be through any desired medium of expression.
ideas: poetry, short fiction, allegory, anecdote, or reflective exposition
Mathematical Reasoning (Problem Set)
Solve 15 questions drawn from single and multivariate calculus, proofs & logic, trigonometry, elementary algebra, statistics, applied linear algebra.
A calculator is allowed. All steps must be shown.
Reading Comprehension (Close Reading Exercise)
A passage will be given from one of the core texts
(e.g., Oliver Twist, The Great Gatsby, The Grapes of Wrath, Death of a Salesman).
Answer interpretive and analytical questions.
Oral Interview (Dialectical Skill Test)
A 15-minute live oral session assessing:
Conceptual clarity
Intellectual curiosity
Cognitive-emotive articulation
